A Three-Generation Family Home: A Retreat Cluster Amidst Nature
This architectural project is a testament to the harmony between people, nature, and living space, built on the foundation of family love and connection. Located on a shared piece of land among siblings, this cluster of homes represents the family’s agreement to separate living spaces while uniting them through a shared courtyard. This expansive open space is surrounded by lush gardens, evoking the atmosphere of a family resort.
The shared courtyard not only serves as a connection between the houses but also as the central hub for the three generations living here. Daily life seems to revolve around Lon, the adorable little child lovingly embraced by the entire family. The large garden provides not only a playground for Lon and the family pets but also a space for interaction where family members gather, chat, and share joyful moments each day.
In terms of interior design, the space follows minimalist principles while fully meeting the basic functional needs. The rooms in the house cluster are designed to prioritize openness and flexibility, allowing occupants to easily interact with the outdoor environment through windows that bring natural light into every corner.
The interior furnishings, carefully selected during the home’s use and development, reflect the family’s personal style. The chosen items, while not overly ornate, are sophisticated and focused on sustainability and long-term connection. The harmonious combination of lighting, furniture, and architecture creates not only a high-quality living space but also nurtures family bonds and generational connections.
This project is a prime example of crafting a modern family living space where each member has their own private area, yet they all come together in a unified whole. It is not just a place to live, but a space to love and experience.
This is the home of photographer Quang Tran, who captured the genuine moments within this space and generously gifted the design team with a photo collection. We sincerely thank him for his contribution.
