For every young family starting a new life, there are always many worries and uncertainties. And if it is their very first home, it becomes an even more meaningful story — a memorable experience for the homeowner.
The existing condition of the house was a completely bare, unfinished space — which became an ideal foundation for both the homeowner and the designers to balance and optimize all functional needs. Within a modest yet sufficient area, the home is organized into clearly defined spaces: living room, kitchen, dining area, a generously sized bathroom accommodating both a shower and a bathtub, a charming small bedroom for the couple’s future daughter, and a master bedroom with a spacious bed positioned beside a gentle green corner that separates the room from the bustle outside the window. A sufficiently large, well-organized walk-in closet completes the layout.
By leaving a small recessed area to create a “fake balcony” for both bedrooms, the rooms not only avoid feeling constrained, but their value is unexpectedly enhanced. This added touch provides comfort to each family member, because greenery is always the most soothing element for the human soul.
Beyond the carefully planned circulation and layout, color palette and materials are two decisive factors that shape the success of the space. Using only a limited selection of natural materials — concrete flooring, terrazzo, wood, and natural stone — set against a white backdrop, the design achieves a harmonious, pleasant overall feel while allowing each material to freely express its inherent beauty.
Once again, the principle of “just enough” is the central design philosophy of this Arch.A project. The homeowner shared this very same intention when working with Arch.A, and the trust placed in the design team made the entire process smooth and fulfilling. This truly became a memorable experience for both the team and the wonderful homeowners of this project.
